Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream
Last night I had the strangest dream
I'd ever dreamed before
I dreamed the world had all agreed
To put an end to war
I dreamed I saw a mighty room
Filled with women and men
And the paper they were signing said
They'd never fight again
And when the paper was all signed
And a million copies made
They all joined hands and bowed their heads
And grateful pray'rs were prayed
And the people in the streets below
Were dancing 'round and 'round
While swords and guns and uniforms
Were scattered on the ground
Last night I had the strangest dream
I'd never dreamed before
I dreamed the world had all agreed
To put an end to war.
Anoche tuve el sueño más extraño
Anoche tuve un sueño extraño
Nunca había soñado antes
Soñé que el mundo estaba de acuerdo
Para poner fin a la guerra
Soñé que vi una habitación poderosa
Lleno de mujeres y hombres
Y el periódico que estaban firmando decía
Nunca volverían a pelear
Y cuando el periódico estaba todo firmado
Y un millón de copias hechas
Todos juntaron las manos e inclinaron la cabeza
Y oraciones agradecidas fueron oradas
Y la gente en las calles de abajo
Daban vueltas y vueltas
Mientras que espadas y pistolas y uniformes
Se dispersaron en el suelo
Anoche tuve un sueño extraño
Nunca había soñado antes
Soñé que el mundo estaba de acuerdo
Para poner fin a la guerra
